A 92 m² apartment near the Vondelpark, purchased by a young professional couple with a small child, came to us before the sale was finalized. The existing layout offered two bedrooms - but with careful redesign, we could see the potential to unlock a third. The clients' vision was clear: a contemporary home that felt generously proportioned, effortlessly functional for daily family life, and equally capable of hosting guests.

The structural intervention was precise and deliberate: a minor wall relocation opened the kitchen into the living and dining zone, creating a breathtaking social space that became the heart of the home - and simultaneously freed the footprint for the third bedroom.
Mirror surfaces were introduced throughout to amplify natural light and dissolve the sense of boundaries, while floor-to-ceiling custom-built furniture combined generous concealed storage with beautifully composed display niches. The material palette - warm whites, deep midnight blue, a refined pairing of polished gold and chrome, and a classic matt herringbone oak parquet underfoot - gives the apartment a warmth and character that must be felt to be fully understood.
The clients moved in within three months of construction completion. Six years later, when the apartment came to market, it sold with a documented 40% increase in value over its original purchase price.
